The rocket damaged a U.S. military officials aircraft


A rocket fired by insurgents in Afghanistan have reportedly damaging senior U.S. military aircraft while on the Bagram military base.

But the U.S. military Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey who uses the plane was not anywhere near the site of the attack.

Insurgent attacks that occurred on Monday night was only caused minor injuries to two workers for aircraft maintenance.

Dempsey visit to Afghanistan itself does not last long and he was reported to have left Bagram on Tuesday (21/08) local time.

Dempsey's presence into the country aims to discuss the ambush of Afghan military personnel to NATO troops continue to rise.

Attacks directed at the U.S. military base at Bagram, too often the case.

In May of 2010 and a number of planned attacks targeting militants release the base and resulted in a number of NATO troops were injured.

While a similar attack in 2009, resulting in two U.S. soldiers were killed.
