F-16 with Missile Remote

Modernize weaponry system will not lead to protests from neighboring countries
The Ministry of Defence declared complete fighter jets such as the F-16, with long-range guided missile is a must, and became standard in equipping the country's defense forces.
It said following the news reported by the Reuters news agency from Washington DC, USA on Friday (24/8), who reported President Barack Obama has proposed, to sell long-range guided missiles and related equipment worth 25 million U.S. dollars, to complement the fleet fighter jet F-16 owned by Indonesia.
 
"It is yet to be discussed and confirmed with the House, but as a club strategic dimension of air defense, aircraft F-16 fighter jets to be armed with the type of weapons and advanced technology. That is the standard that must be done for class fighter F-16, "said Defense Ministry spokesman, Brig Hartind Asrin, when contacted on Sunday (26/8).
 
Hartind also said sophisticated weapons to equip strategic bat is not solely intended for war or attack other countries.
 
"At peace, making the system useful as a deterrent," said Hartind, the newly sworn in last week as Advisor to the Minister of Defence Defence Security Sector.
 
Angkah Hartind also said that if it was taken by Indonesia, will not lead to protests from neighboring countries because of the effort to build and modernize the primary means of defense systems (defense equipment) is the sovereignty of a country.
 
"The effort was made to preserve the sovereignty of the country, not to attack, and this is clearly stated in the constitution of our country," said Hartind.
 
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in his explanation to the House of Representatives, when transmitting Finance and Budget Memorandum 2013 in front of the plenary session of the House of Representatives (16/8) states that the Ministry of Defence planned to get a budget increase in 2013 to Rp 77.7 trillion .
This figure represents an increase of 25.2 per cent, of the defense budget in 2012 that amount was Rp 61.5 trillion.
Hartind said most of the budget, will be used to pay staff salaries and operational costs of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of Indonesia.
"About 26 percent will be used for shopping or non Alutsista Alutsista completeness, but is a separate allocation of funds for the fulfillment of some of the military expenditure target of minimum essential force defense Rp 150 trillion in the 2010-2014 period," said Hartind.
The SBY government has set at the end of his reign in 2014, will be able to achieve the target of 30 percent from 100 percent, the fulfillment of a minimum principal defense force in 2024.
Indonesia is scheduled to receive 24 units of fighter jet F-16, which has been rejuvenated grant from the United States, and will equip 10 fighter jet F-16 that have been previously owned.
