Army Navy Marines Prepare to Ambalat


Navy Marine Corps is preparing troops to be sent to the area of assignment in Ambalat, Sebatik Island, East Kalimantan, as peacekeepers sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia (Republic of Indonesia).

Leadership training, Marine Maj. "Soldiers who are members of Satgasmar Ambalat XV had received briefing-debriefing before practicing in Puslatpur RoW. In addition, the soldiers of the Navy is also equipped with knowledge about the current security situation in the border area and the knowledge of religion, customs, and languages ​​spoken Sebatik Island community.

Exercise in Puslatpur RoW was held from 22 to 28 August 2012, with the aim of preparing personnel who are members of a task force to carry out the assignment operation, both combat operations and territorial operation.

Training materials include combat patrols, patrol investigators, land navigation, knowledge of GPS, shooting, Legan and hand signals, and first aid in the field.

In addition, communication procedures, techniques using communication tools, sea pool, exersisi inflatable boat, paddle, motor and marine SAR.

"Satgasmar Ambalat XV was prepared to replace Satgasmar Ambalat XIV who currently resides in the area of assignment Sebatik Island," said Nioko.

During this time, the Task Force Ambalat served in the border region with the neighboring country Indonesia during 8-12 months.
